zfs-fuse.net

Yet again things are happening in regards to the FUSE version of ZFS. That is something you very well might have missed if you, like me, had satisfied yourself with subscribing to the zfs-on-fuse.blogspot.com RSS feed. Apparently zfs-fuse.net is where all the action takes place nowdays. Yes I know that Btrfs most likely is the [...]

free domain names

As part of the gandi.net 10th birthday I received three promo codes, each worth a free domain name. As I have no real use for them myself I’m giving the promo codes away. 10YRS-8206-D3B6-2E0A (taken) 10YRS-9225-B0BF-E19C (taken) 10YRS-0418-6875-90E7 (taken) Do note that the promo codes are only valid up until the 31th of Mars, and [...]

Das Keyboard

Little more than a month ago I bought myself a Das Keyboard (ultimate edition) from getDigital.de. Well, actually I ordered it over three month ago, but last month was when I actually received it. Anyway, figured I would share a few thoughts about it. The keyboard is a real full size, rather heavy, solid keyboard. [...]

Follow me on identi.ca

Seems like Micro-blogging is a lot more of my cup of tea. Writing one or two sentences, whenever I get an (interesting?) idea, is just enough for a person who actually hates to write. You can follow my updates at: http://identi.ca/andol Also, I use identi.ca to push my updates onto twitter; where they can be [...]

My Magnatune Membership

A couple of month ago I bought a Magnatune Download Membership. That was probably my most well spent money that year. Nowdays this is where I get almost all of my music. Magnatune is hardly your average run of the mill record company.  Instead they seem to do pretty much everything the right way. Feel [...]

A dropbox in the cloud

I usually prefer to keep my data in a cloud somewhere, or at least in a treehouse or something else which isn’t local disk. Anything not having to depend on sitting in front of the “right” computer. Currently the treehouse where most of my data lives is a VPS I rent in a datacenter. More [...]

Attending FSCONS ‘08

Looks like I’ll be attending FSCONS. You should too. The schedule seems really promising.

zfs-fuse 0.5.0

Seems as if the project ZFS on FUSE is still alive. Announcing zfs-fuse 0.5.0 Changelog entry I for sure know what I’ll be looking at today.

Google Chrome

The Google Chrome beta looks really interesting. Based on their comic-style introduction things might just have been done very much the right way. I am most definitely eager to see a Linux version of Google’s new browser.

Attending USENIX ‘08

About this time next month I’ll be at USENIX ’08. It will be my first real conference. I got the news today. I’m really excited about it.
